Instructions For Building Efficient Wind Generators For Your Home - Here Are the Easy DIY Blueprints

Traditional energy sources are on their way out. Fossil fuel costs are shooting up because we are running low on them, so we need to prepare for the future. We need to change the way we think about how we get our energy and how much we are using to change our lifestyles into sustainable lifestyles.

There are some people who have already started thinking this way. New scientific breakthroughs in renewable energy are allowing us to create sustainable energy at lower and lower costs. Using the right set of plans even homeowners who don't know anything about construction or electricity can build their own alternative energy sources right in their backyards, such as wind power generators.

Wind turbines can be made to reduce the average home's electricity bill by as much as 70%. They can be built, using economical plans, for as little as $200 using pre-used parts. The most expensive part might be a DC motor which can cost as little as $30. They can be built with basic tools and parts from a local hardware store. You can estimate the amount of power a generator creates using the following formula:

Power(Watts) = (Wind Speed)^3 * (Blade Diameter)^2 * 0.00478

The speed of the wind makes the most difference because its value is cubed, then the blade diameter because its value is squared. Example calculation using a decent wind speed of 10mph and an 8 ft blade diameter:

W = (10*10*10) * (8*8) * 0.00478 = 305 watts/hour -  x 24 hours and you can calculate 7.3 kWh generated per day by a wind power generator.

On average, an American home might use 14-20 kWh per day. If you start conserving your power, you might use much less depending on the size of your home. Even with little wind speed in your area, you should be able to build a wind turbine that can significantly reduce your power bill for as little as $200. Wind power generators are cost-effective, to be sure.

Hydrogen Generator DIY - Hydrogen Generators For Cars

Everyday a barrel of gas hits another record high causing the price of gas to skyrocket. Hydrogen Generator DIY kit cuts gas cost by 40% and increases mileage.

Economists predict a gallon of gas to only increase as global demand raises. At some point one has to take action and search for alternate fuel or methods such as hydrogen generator for cars to alleviate the monthly cost to commute.

That is exactly what my wife and I did. We did our research online and ran across a Hydrogen Generator DIY website that provided step-by-step plans how to build your own hydrogen generator using materials found at your local hardware store.

Between my wife's SUV and my car we were spending around $600 a month and knew we had to do something so we took the dive and purchased the DIY guide.

For under $125.00 including the guide we were able to build our first hydrogen generator. The water for gas guide was very detailed which made building and installation a breeze. I am not good with cars so I was worried but everything was very well laid out.

We decided to install the unit on my wife's gas guzzler SUV due to only getting around 16 Mpg. Over the next week we tracked our mileage and fuel consumption and were shocked to see her average mileage jumped from 16 Mpg to 24 Mpg in the city and from 24 Mpg to 31 Mpg on the highway...wooohooo!!!

Who would have thought that ordinary water can give you better gas mileage...actually the hydrogen generator kit uses water to produce HHO or Brown Gas that increases the efficiency at which the fuel burns thus increasing your mileage.

Gasoline and diesel engines today waste gas due to not fully burning all the fuel during the combustion process. Adding water molecules to the mix creates a more efficient combustion allowing your engine to burn more fuel producing more power. The end result is your car or truck produces more power with less fuel consumption.

Enough of the technical jargon...all I know is it works but I do not recommend building a hydrogen generator on your own without any guidance from a manual as you could do more harm rather then good.

There are a hand full of websites online that provide good documentation how to construct a hydrogen generator for your car or truck at a very affordable price that will pay for itself in no time.

Thousands of people have converted their cars and trucks to use water for gas and are achieving amazing results.

Not only are they getting better gas mileage but also running smoother, burning cleaner and helping to extend the life of their engine. The days of a gallon of gas below $3.00 is behind us and prices are only expected to go up so what are you going to do about it?

Hydrogen Fuel Generators and Free HHO Dry Cell Plans

If you have decided to experiment with hydrogen fuel and would like to build a fuel saver Hydrogen Generator, I would suggest the HHO Dry Cell design. The old water4gas HHO generator design was discarded by the pros long ago, and the hydrogen generators known as wet cells are inferior to the new HHO dry cell design.

Here are a few reasons why the new "HHO dry cell" kits are better than the old water4gas and wet cell designs.

The old wet cell designs had a large amount of voltage leakage around the edges of the stainless plates. What this means is that part of the supplied current was not reaching the plates where the electrolysis process takes place, so you had to deliver more voltage in order to produce the desired amount of HHO gas. You do not have this current loss on an HHO dry design. With the new HHO dry cell design, the electrical current is focused on the dry cell plates, this is how the dry cell produces more hydrogen fuel with the use of fewer amps.

The HHO drycell is usually configured with four or five neutral plates, encased in several negative and positive stainless plates. The purpose of the neutral plate is to help lower the voltage between the positive and negative plates which will make this cell run much more efficiently. This design produces less heat and will form more HHO gas than the old water4gas and wet cell hydrogen generators, using fewer amps.

Another great improvement made with the HHO cell is the size of the unit. You can build an HHO dry-cell that is only 4" x 4" that will produce as much HHO gas as an old 6" x 12" wet cell. Because of this great improvement in design, the dry-cell-kit can be installed in an area with less available space.

If you are ready to build an HHO generator, don't even think about buying HHO plans, you can get free plans for dry and wet cells all over the Internet. I have been supplying DIY HHO plans for free, for several years. Stop by HHO Dry Cell and grab a set of these free HHO plans today.

Standby Home Generators

Power outages are inconvenient and can cause many problems for homeowners. Violent storms and other types of bad weather can cause these power outages, making them very common. To avoid this problem, people are installing standby home generators. With a standby home generator, enough power can be restored to your home to live a relatively normal life during this crucial time.

Standby home generators are permanent. They are installed outside the home and activate just like a central air conditioning system, but instead of turning on when it's warm inside, they turn on when sensing the loss of electricity. This type of generator is much more commanding than one that is portable, supplying power to a much larger amount of circuits.

When a blackout occurs, the standby home generator automatically activates itself and starts delivering electricity to circuits that have been selected by the homeowner. The machine is able to perceive when power has been lost through the emergency load center and transfer switch. When this is sensed the generator starts and supplies service to the home. This powering system has an engine and runs off of LP or natural gas. The generator is attached to the gas line and through this produces electricity.

Depending on what is chosen to be powered, a standby generator can sustain up to twelve circuits. It can give energy to light the living room or kitchen, to power the furnace, or even to keep heating and cooling systems running.

The generator will run once per week for a few minutes to ensure that the system is working correctly. Having the generator run when there is not a power outage also accommodates the need to keep the engine lubricated.

Standby home generators are tailored to the needs of homeowners that require the benefits of home comfort systems. Having one of these systems can really serve as quite the convenience when dealing with the difficulty of a power outage.

Home Wind Generators For the Clever

The difficulty of getting alternative energy across to people who can benefit from it has been quite the challenge. Fortunately, home wind generators have become very affordable, easy to build, and overall very good deals for people who don't want to spend thousands of dollars on company made windmills or kits. This article discusses how anybody can make their own home wind generators for less than $200.

The affordability can be explained very simply as the product of years of research. The technology needed to make home wind generators hasn't changed much in the last thirty years, and some say not at all. The change happened when during that time, people tried on different materials and different ways of getting the parts that would become the generators. When success was reached it became possible to build home wind generators for less around $150.

But there was still the challenge of difficulty. Many people thought that without technical skill, it was impossible to build a decent wind generator. This was blown out of the water when modern plans came about. These plans would teach people how to get the parts they needed for cheap and then assemble them using simple step by step directions and diagrams. Since then, more people have discovered how cheap and easy it is to significantly cut their power bills.

People all over the world are building home wind generators in record numbers and saving an average of 75% on their power bills. This isn't as hard to do as you might think. The process is to get plans that teach you how to make a cheap and effective wind generator, then build a "small model" which will produce 750-1000 watts and be enough to dramatically cut your power bills.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell Generator For Cars - Fuel Saving Tips With Hydrogen Fuel Cell Generators

How effective is hydrogen fuel cell generator for cars? There were many news reports online about the cost saving capability of this new technology. With future crude oil supply in question, the prices of local gasoline have been increasing for the last few months. There is no indication that the cost of fuel will reduce in the future. Therefore, it is understandable that there is so much interest on hydrogen fuel cell for cars. This article will present some information about the science behind hydrogen fuel cell generators.

Fuel cell works by passing hydrogen gas (H2) through a membrane to generator electricity. However, there are some challenges in storing H2 on cars. Hydrogen gas has to be stored under high pressure and this tends to create the problem of leakage and endangering the driver. An alternative solution is to use a H2 "on demand" system. How the system works is by installing an electrolysis device to the engine. Power is drawn from the battery and when the circuit is turned on, hydrogen gas will be generated. The process can be turned on when the car is moving and switched off when the car is stationary.

A hydrogen fuel cell generator can reduce fuel consumption by supplying H2 as a supplementary gas to conventional gasoline. By mixing the two gases, it will create a potent combination and will produce a stronger explosion in the engine. More power means a vehicle can travel further hence increasing it mileage.

Setting up a hydrogen fuel cell on cars is not difficult. Most of the parts needed are easily available from a hardware store. What you will need is a step by step instructional guide to assist you. Ultimately, the success of the modification process will depend on your patience and dedication to find a solution to the rising fuel cost.

Hydrogen Generators For Cars - What Are They and How Do They Work?

When I first heard about hydrogen generators for cars and hydrogen car kits, I thought that people were talking about some futuristic gadget or rocket car, perhaps from the latest science fiction blockbuster at the movies. I never believed that it would be possible to run cars on water which is what these gas mileage devices are claimed to do.

But it seems that hydrogen generators for cars are nothing new and the technology has been around for some time. In fact I found out that these hydrogen car kits are widely available and at a price that almost everyone can afford. The prices seem to range between $100-$150 and are very easily installed as most of them come with a full guide to show you how.

So just what are these hydrogen car kits?
Basically in very simple terms what they consist of is a small container of water to which is added a catalyst, such as baking soda, and some stainless steel plates. This is then connected to your cars battery to supply a small amount of electricity. When all these components are put together in the proper way what you end up with is a small hydrogen generator.

Once this system is installed and up and running it is possible to extract hydrogen oxygen (HHO) also known as a brown gas by the use of electrolysis. This is a process were electricity is used to change water into HHO. As water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen this process separates the two hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atom, basically converting the water into two flammable gases.

This HHO gas is then taken into the airflow on the intake manifold of your engine were it is mixed with the ordinary gasoline from your fuel tank. This mixture is then burnt in your engine in the usual way, but as it burns more efficiently and cleanly, it gives you better performance, more power and a huge saving in the amount of gasoline used.

Along with the fantastic gas mileage improvements that you get with these hydrogen car kits there are many other advantages. You get a cleaner burning fuel which will help to remove carbon deposits in your engine and prevent further build up. You will prolong the life of your engine and so save on mechanics bills. And one of the best of all is that this system produces considerably less harmful exhaust emissions, so helping to reduce the green house gases that cause global warming.

So with all these advantages of hydrogen generators for cars and with the actual hydrogen car kits so readily available and at such a great price, it is possible to run cars on water. I really think that water fueled cars are the way ahead. With the rocketing price of oil, and the cost of gas at the pumps going up on an almost weekly basis we really should be doing all we can to make gas mileage improvements for ourselves.

And if we are helping the environment by using cleaner burning fuels then so much the better. So do the planet a favour and save cash at the same time and find out more about water fueled cars for yourself.

Whole House Generators - Commercial Generators - Industrial Generators

Being without electricity can be very costly. The home owner can lose food stored in the refrigerator and freezer. As well as the inconvenience of not having heat, air conditioning, television, and other electrical items we have grown accustom to having available. For the commercial or industrial user being without electric can be crippling in lost production, employee cost during no productivity, and other costly losses.

Whole house generators are two pole systems that run on low pressure gas or natural gas. These generators range from 8.5 - 16 kilowatts depending on the model. Most will come in 120/240 volt models, and can be purchased alone or in a package with an automatic transfer switch. The transfer switch is the panel that connects the whole house generator to your circuit breaker box. These transfer switches can come in automatic and manual models, however with a whole house system it is suggested to use the automatic model which will automatically switch to generator power when there is a power failure and back to standard electric source when the power has been restored. Another option for these generators is a super silent housing. This reduces the noise heard while the generator is operating. The whole house generator prices can range from $4,800 - $9,000 depending if you choose to purchase just the generator or a package with transfer switch and super silent housing.

Commercial generators and industrial generators are four pole systems that offer models that run on low pressure gas, natural gas, and diesel fuel. These units generally offer more power than the whole house generator models for larger facilities. The kilowatts of these models range from 18 - 115, and have 120/240, and 277/480 volt options. Like the home back up emergency power systems the industrial models can also have a super silent housing option to reduce outside noise. Also the commercial and industrial models offer an automatic transfer switch that can be purchase as a package with your generator.

Choosing the correct generator to meet your emergency power needs can be a confusing process. If you need back up power consult an expert to help you decide the best generator to meet your needs.

Windmill Generators

Windmill Generators are also known as wind turbines. Others also call it Wind energy converter or wind power unit. It is basically a spinning engine that changes the kinetic energy found in the wind into power or mechanical energy. There are terms that apply to the function of this engine. Such as the term windmill, this generally applies to machinery used to pump or grind stones which uses directly the mechanical energy. However, if the mechanical energy is yet used but still is converted further into electricity, the machinery is then termed as wind generator or wind turbine, or wind energy converter (WEC) or wind power unit (WPU). But regardless of the name preference it still is a controversy how windmill generators can be the solution to the economic condition of electric power supply and consumption. The questions like, would it sustain for a longer term use or just a temporary solution of the growing problem of electricity cost?

Law of Physics determine the power generation of a wind turbine. Theorized and proven by Albert Betz, a German physicist, he explained in his Betz Law how this machine produces or converts into electric energy. He further explained that the amount of energy transferred is absolutely relative to the area seized by the rotor, to the density of the air and the cube of the wind speed.

With this scientific explanation and the proof of the wind turbines working in its function and purpose, there is no doubt that a market niche is now slowly growing for windmill generators.

Generators and Its Types

Today, we are very dependent on a steady power supply. The use of electrical devices like refrigerators and computers means we can't go without power for very long or there will be serious consequences. Even so, power outages still occur. The one the US experienced in 2003 affected over 60 million people and was the largest outage to occur in US history. California recently experienced a wave of rolling blackouts. A New Orleans without power descended in chaos in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

To counter this, many institutions and individuals have bought their own power sources in the form of electrical generators.

How a Generator Works

Basically speaking, a generator is a device which uses a magnet in order to induce a flow of electric current in a circuit, much like how a water pump pushes water through a hose.

A generator functions because of the relation between magnetism and electricity. If electrons (the parts of an atom which carry a negative charge) move through something conductive like a wire, they generate a magnetic field. Conversely, if a magnetic field is placed near a wire and moved, its motion causes the electrons in the wire to move because of a change in electrical potential. This is known as a current.

In the 1830s, Michael Faraday discovered this principle and built the first electromagnetic generator known as the Faraday disc, which used a copper disc rotating between the poles of a horseshoe magnet. In 1832, the first dynamo was built consisting of a power-producing armature moving within a stationary magnetic field.

Types of Generators

The first generators were used in industry and later on to provide electrical power to homes. The past few years have seen the proliferation of engine-generator sets also known as gensets or simply generators for a variety of purposes. There are gasoline generators, diesel generators, liquefied petroleum gas generators, and propane generators; there are even human-powered generators, such as those found in some types of radios and the small sets found in bicycle lights.

Standby generators - These are large, often permanent units that are stationed outside a home, office building, warehouse, shopping mall, and the like to provide backup power in case the mains electricity switches off. These sets are plugged into the main electric lines and can sense when a power interruption has occurred. They automatically start and provide emergency power generating a few seconds after coming online.

Portable generators - These are designed to be transported whether on a cart, trailer or by hand to provide power where there is no utility power supply, as in campsites and construction sites. Their output is sufficient to run appliances such as pumps, refrigerators, lights, radios, and televisions, and the larger ones can be used to power sound systems, high-intensity lights and parked aircraft. The smaller generators typically use gasoline as fuel, whereas the larger ones, capable of providing up to 1,000 kilowatts or more of electricity, use either gasoline, diesel fuel, natural gas, or propane.

Commercial generators - In areas where the power supply is intermittent or lacking as in Third World provincial areas, generators can also be set up to provide additional power.

Homebuilt Wind Powered Generators

With so many changes in price, I find it really difficult to take into consideration the price of electricity on. I know it varies all the time, but they are steadily increasing. The best way to get out of this madness is to get a price of wind powered generator.

Want to build wind-powered home generators?

These generators are easy to do if you follow the right steps. Probably would not need more than $ 200 spent on parts, and a plan to build it. The only problem, smallis that after a favorable wind-driven generator, you have a professional electrician in contact with the terminals of the house built to build windmills powered by your home.

Know that the most to gain if you use a wind powered generator in your house?

Of course, you can reduce the energy bill, and also the pollution, but all these are just the business opportunities that might become rich (if not already). Youcould actually earn money if your electricity from wind energy, fed to the right and has built the right size.

"How," you might ask. It's simple: because the use of wind power and pay for everything that could, eventually, through the sale of electricity to its provider of electricity in progress. The company will pay a price based on KW / hour, and the whole crowd, it can be monitored with a meter as the unit of kWh counter.

The best way to save money for electricity, reducepollution and make money is to make the installation of a wind powered generator. People all over the world, and with what they receive is satisfactory.

Makita 110004-A 2-Wheel Mobility Kit for Makita Generators

Makita 110004-A 2-Wheel Mobility Kit for Makita Generators Review

I purchased this Mobility Kit for installation on a Makita G6100R generator. In the past, I had always made my own wheel kits for water pumps, generators and the like. This time around, I thought I would see how the "pros" do it. The Makita kit contains good quality components, and the instructions were lucid. My only slightly negative comment lies in the fact that the kit obviously applies to several models of generators and water pumps, and thus wheel spacing is variable. To account for this Makita simply gives some large washers to prevent the wheel hubs from contacting the generator frame. While this is effective, it is a shoddy method of accomplishment. All in all, and all grousing aside, the kit is cost effective if you value your time to any reasonable degree...and your back will thank you every time you have to move your gargantuan generator.

Colloidal Silver Generators

Colloidal Silver Generators are electronic devices used for the manufacture of colloidal suspensions of silver. The process involves immersing the silver electrodes of high quality distilled water and the electrolytic production of sub-microscopic particles of silver. If a generator is activated, the fine colloidal solution can be perceived visually.

Commercial generators work on a source of electricity through electrodes held in underground steam distilled water. No preservatives orStarters like salt are used in the process of preparing a fine, because they alter the chemical composition of the final product. A generator is considered good if you are able to produce ultrafine 5-10 ppm yellow solutions with optimum particle sizes of 0,005-0,015 microns. These colloids have weak Tyndall effect indicative of the particle size your minutes.

There are two types of commercial generators. In one type of constant voltage generator, voltageMaintaining a constant value is usually between 30 and 50V. The silver ions from the electrodes are sintered in distilled water. Increasing the concentration of silver ions increases the conductivity of the water, which in turn accelerates the release of particles from the electrodes. The disadvantage of these devices is the generation of sudden large-scale silver particles is not recommended for use. The generators have a constant current "regulator" to reduce tension andthus the strength of the current obtained at the desired level. This results in uniform production of silver particles. However, with this method, the creation of a colloid over 15 ppm is difficult since the results in agglomeration of neutralization of charges. Improved models of automatic generators are now available on the market. These devices have built-in motor that keeps the silver particles in motion and prevents agglomeration plants.

Simple generating sets for the homeProduction of colloidal silver have become extremely popular. Kit components are freely available and can be purchased for less than $ 20. Are a good way to invest and keep up the promise of a good finish here.

Small Power Generators

Electric generators are used to produce electricity by converting mechanical energy (created by an engine or the automatic system) into electricity. To power a device that relies on electricity, power supply of the generic term for any system that a mechanism used to used to create power.

Many use diesel generators to ensure their mechanical process that leads to pollution and is very easyoption available to win in different parts of the world where diesel and other fuels are too costly or too difficult to access.

Diesel is an industry standard, if relatively benign, because the work is not particularly effective when considered in relation to its costs, and brings the fire hazard of these reasons that the gas is used very rarely. In general, all fuel-powered generators provide large amounts of carbon monoxide, a highly toxic gas, asbe strong enough.

Fuel cells are now also a major push on the market because of its innovative design. The fuel cell different from the normal large-scale wind turbines which generate electricity directly from the production of electrons (and thus the end result of electricity without the need for a mechanized process, kinetic energy.)

This raises a number of advantages, which produce almost no noise, and require much less maintenance, since thereduced number of mechanical parts. Best of all, need no oil or fuel at all!

So in an effort to more environmentally friendly, organic and effective use of power to produce, is to find a great deal of money and research have been undertaken to call "renewable energy". Some well known examples are the likes of generating solar energy and wind turbines with wind farms at present as the clear favorite.

Just like the windfired generators (also known as turbines really works), then? Well, make strategic use of natural resources: wind, and I know the sun heats the atmosphere in a very disorganized and random, which means that the different layers of the atmosphere is getting warmer, others colder.

The segments of the climate, the hottest rising, and begin to grow in height, and how their ascent, the coolest part of the climate and then begins to move and take theirPlace. This creates a feeling we know as the wind.

The wind-driven generators are like a giant fan on a big "project stem, like the wind blows the propeller fan, this kinetic energy into electrical energy is then being used can be any type of electrical equipment, energy power to convert.

A disadvantage of this method is the generation that requires areas that are already largely suckers, so that, apart from the coastal areas and levels, and higher elevationsgenerators are not so many. However, solar energy is constantly being worked on and cunning, and has also led to a significant increase in awareness of the need for the provision of renewable energy.
