Tracetone? Tone Generator and Amplifier Probe

Tracetone? Tone Generator and Amplifier Probe Review

I see some buyers are trying to use this product to find wires in walls, this is not what this was designed for and it will not work. I work in I.T. and often do some wiring, this is very good for finding where each network drop was patched in. My only wish would be that instead of the RJ11 plug (standard phone plug) it had a RJ45. But with a little self made converter it does the job right. You can't beet the price of some other more professional network probes.

Generator Basics

Without a doubt, the world runs on electricity. In 2006, as a planet, we collectively used 16 terawatts. In times of electrical doubt, we become nervous and scared. For good reason, we rely on electricity to run nearly everything in the developed world. From various sources electricity is one of the greatest needs of the electrical digital age. Generators of various styles and sources are made, but that all have a few basic parts in common.

A generator is the inverse of a motor. A generator takes mechanical energy and transforms it into electrical energy. A motor takes electrical energy and transforms it into mechanical energy. It is important to note that photovoltaic cells or modules are not generators. Although it might be simple to say they generate electricity, they do not work in the same manner as a mechanical generator, so they will be omitted from this discourse.

The primary dilemma is that there are losses due to inefficiencies. Transmission lines, power stations, even the generator itself will not be 100 percent efficient. It will have losses due to heat, friction, or even chemical imbalances. 100 percent efficiency is almost impossible to obtain, but in the mean time there are several viable utilitarian alternatives.

A common residential generator will take diesel, gas, propane, or natural gas and run a simple engine with it. The basis for a generator lies in Faraday's laws of induction. They state that if you oscillate a magnet around a coil you will see a registration of electricity. Increase the number of coils, or the number of times a wire goes around of magnet, increase the power of the magnet, and increase the frequency at which it moves are all methods in which to increase the output electrical supply.

Generators come in a massive variety of sizes. There are small residential generators that you can easily place in the back of any car, all the way up to 45 foot-long trailers that can run up to 2000 watts, or permanent 150kw backup generators for industrial complexes. The multiplicity of generators means that there is one for the circumstance that you need, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Just because you purchase a $30,000 commercial generator doesn't mean you can use it in a household.

A generator must be correspondent to the proper electrical hookup. It is necessary to consider what fluids and upkeep that you need to accomplish and how frequently. For example, the extended trailer that was mentioned before requires up to 70 gallons of oil and 50 gallons of coolant as well as the potential for 1500 gallons of gas to fuel the engine. The engine could also be inefficient due to the altitude or temperature, all of which are important considerations to take into account if the instruments are sensitive.

The modern demands of electricity spell doom if it goes out and you're reliant on it for your business. For exactly this reason, there are a variety of backup systems that will generate electricity for your needs.

Hydrogen Generator For Vehicles

Hydrogen generator for vehicles is a new alternative that combats ever rising oil prices. This system is also known as HHO and works by splitting water into its two parts hydrogen and one part water.

An electric current is generated from your vehicles battery, and this process splits the water components and then reforms them into what is known as HHo or browns gas.

While the thought of installing a hydrogen generator for your vehicle sounds hard, it is actually quite easy and with a few parts from your hardware store and a manual it will take you a few hours to setup and have your car running far more efficiently.

If you are not mechanically minded you can have a mechanic install the hydrogen generator into your vehicle for about $2000, if you were to do it yourself you will have the hydrogen generator set up for under $200.

With the new hybrid vehicles coming into production by 2010, they will be expensive and not everybody will be able to afford this, so installing a hydrogen generator for your vehicle is a much more economical for most people.

Your will also notice that your vehicle will run much more smoother and quieter then before because you are now burning more hydrogen than gas. Hydrogen is a very save and clean burning fuel for your vehicle and thus you will be also doing your bit to help reduce your carbon footprint.

A you are making your car more greener you are also entitled to a full IRS refund from the government.

Build a Wind Generator

Do You Want To Build Your Own Wind Generator?

You'll be very happy to know that you can do just that. You just need the right DIY plans to do it. You can save thousands of dollars from what you would pay if you bought a wind generator. Did you know that a purchased wind generator can cost as much as $2500? You can actually build your own for under $100.

What Should You Be Looking For In DIY Windmill Generator Plans?

Easy to ready & easy to follow plans.
The plans must create a generator that can produce over 1000 watts of power.
The supplies needed should cost less than $100.
The supplies should all be material that is readily available.
Must be easy to build.
The generator built should be tough so it can endure the Winter months.

FAQ About Wind Generators
1. How will I know how much power production I need?

You should be aim for about 10 kilowatt hours per day but you can probably get by with much less than that. Some conservative people run their home on only 3 kilowatt hours per day.

2. How do I calculate how much power I'll be producing with my generator?

(Wind Speed ^3) (Blade Diameter ^2) x .00478

Wind Speed as measured in miles per hour & Blade Diameter as measured in feet.

For example if your wind power is 10 mph on average and your blade is 8 feet in diameter then you would calculate your system's power like this:

(10 X 10 X 10) (8 X 8) X .00478. That works out to 1000 X 64 X .00478 which works out to 305 watts. Multiply that by 24 hours to get your kilowatt hours per day. Such as 305 X 24 = 7320 which is 7.3 kilowatt hours per day.

As you can see from this equation as wind power is cubed it is the most important variable in how much power you create with your windmill.

3. Should I build one large wind generator or many small ones?

Usually it's much easier to build smaller wind generators. It will probably be much easier for you to build 3 small wind generators than one huge one.

Build Your Own Wind Powered Generator

Everyone is looking for ways to lower their utility bills, and building your own wind powered generator is a great way to accomplish this goal. Wind is abundant, clean, cheap and easy to harness.

You do not have to spend thousands of dollars on a commercial wind generator...you can build your own for under $100. Yes, you can build your own wind powered generator for under $100.00 and create more than 1000 watts of electricity from the wind.

I have built two of these generators and am currently generating nearly 3000 watts of power that I store in batteries and use to run my home office and various DC components like my pond pump and walkway lights.

I'm building a generator to handle the pool pump this summer because the pool pump uses a lot of electricity and if I can cut that bill down I'll be mighty happy.

The fact that I'm a woman and can build these generators myself should clue you in on how easy this is to do. I'm comfortable with that statement because there are some things men are just better at than women...mechanics and building things is one of them.

My daughter and I built our generator in about two weeks and from parts we got locally. We used our feminine wiles to convince the owner of a shop in a nearby industrial park to give us his old forklift batteries for free. His regular maintenance schedule replaces these batteries every five years but most will last fifteen years or more!

I did have to order the DC motor but it only cost around $15.00 and I know if I was willing to look in the junkyard, I could have found one for a buck or two. Treadmill motors make great generators!

I looked on the internet for plans and of course being the frugal kind of gal that I am I tried to get those plans for free...bad idea. Everything I got for free was absolute junk!

I ended up buying a set of plans that were extremely affordable and covered a whole lot more than just building the wind generator. They covered building and erecting the tower, every aspect of the electrical side of the equation and where to get all the parts as cheaply as possible. In fact it was their idea about where to get the batteries!

Energy prices are not going down anytime soon and the power company and local government make a great deal of money on us poor folks trying to just keep the lights on. Everything is getting more expensive and if there is a way to cut some of those expenses, you ought to jump on it.

Instructions For Building Efficient Wind Generators For Your Home - Here Are the Easy DIY Blueprints

Traditional energy sources are on their way out. Fossil fuel costs are shooting up because we are running low on them, so we need to prepare for the future. We need to change the way we think about how we get our energy and how much we are using to change our lifestyles into sustainable lifestyles.

There are some people who have already started thinking this way. New scientific breakthroughs in renewable energy are allowing us to create sustainable energy at lower and lower costs. Using the right set of plans even homeowners who don't know anything about construction or electricity can build their own alternative energy sources right in their backyards, such as wind power generators.

Wind turbines can be made to reduce the average home's electricity bill by as much as 70%. They can be built, using economical plans, for as little as $200 using pre-used parts. The most expensive part might be a DC motor which can cost as little as $30. They can be built with basic tools and parts from a local hardware store. You can estimate the amount of power a generator creates using the following formula:

Power(Watts) = (Wind Speed)^3 * (Blade Diameter)^2 * 0.00478

The speed of the wind makes the most difference because its value is cubed, then the blade diameter because its value is squared. Example calculation using a decent wind speed of 10mph and an 8 ft blade diameter:

W = (10*10*10) * (8*8) * 0.00478 = 305 watts/hour -  x 24 hours and you can calculate 7.3 kWh generated per day by a wind power generator.

On average, an American home might use 14-20 kWh per day. If you start conserving your power, you might use much less depending on the size of your home. Even with little wind speed in your area, you should be able to build a wind turbine that can significantly reduce your power bill for as little as $200. Wind power generators are cost-effective, to be sure.

Homemade Wind Generator

One of the greatest benefits you can earn from building a wind generator at home is to reduce or even eliminate your electricity bills. Furthermore it doesn't cause any harm to the environment.

A common question is why you need to build a generator instead of buying one? What are the advantages of such a construction?

The answer is very simple. If you decide to buy a wind generator with 1000W, it will cost you a little more than $3000! The amount of money is too high and you'll probably need more than 2 years to make a depreciation. We did a research and the materials of a wind generator can be found for less than $200. To be more specific, you'll need a DC Motor for instance which will cost you about $30 in your local hardware store. So let's start saving money from the first month of the installation instead of two years later with a bought one.

Before start building a homemade wind generator, make sure you have:

a detailed guide to learn you the steps on how to make a wind generator. The guide will teach you almost everything you need.

some workspace that's enough for you to build it.

tools which are available on every house, like a hammer, a jigsaw, wrenches etc.

When the wind generator is made, find a place at your home to install it. Preferably you'll need a place 30 ft higher than any object in 400 foot radius in order to make it as much productive as possible.

Detailed Wind Generator Plans

Alternative energy is becoming more popular every year. More wind generator companies are popping up and charging a tidy fortune for their services. Luckily, there is a better way to cut your electric bill than spending thousands of dollars on a factory built wind generator. You can build it yourself! With the right detailed wind generator plans, you can build it yourself for under $200 guaranteed!

The folks who are part of the alternative energy movement didn't much like the idea of paying thousands of dollars for a wind generator. They responded by trying to make their own. Many failed and a few succeeded. Thanks to their efforts, you can get detailed wind generator plans that guarantee you an uncomplicated journey that ends with very affordable wind generator.

The best detailed wind generator plans revolve around 2 principles: getting cheap parts and cheaply putting them together in order to make a high quality wind generator.

Cheap plus cheap normally doesn't equal high quality and that is why the puzzle took so long to put together. But it is now very possible to build a high quality wind generator for $150-$200. And that includes the price of the plans of course.

The other revolution was the concentration on making the plans easy to understand without losing the important attention to detail. In other words, they needed to make them comprehensible to the average person without making a poor windmill. Yet another challenge overcome, and now you can get detailed wind generator plans that anybody can understand easily. So naturally, If you're ready to build a wind generator, your first step is getting the right plans.

Salt Water Generator Truth

A salt water generator sounds like the best way to go when someone is pushing the sale of a salt water generator system for your pool. Most people think it's an effective alternative to chlorine. What they do not realize though is a salt water generator actually turns salt into chlorine. For most people trying to move away from chlorine and going with a salt water generator they are in fact just switching the type of set up and how they use it instead of eliminating chlorine.

Most people are moving away from chlorine systems because of the harsh chemical that chlorine is. Chlorine through research and study has shown an increased risk of bladder and rectal cancers and an increased risk in with children's asthma. Chlorine also dries out skin, hair and burns swimmers eyes. With the need to eliminate chlorine and salt water generators converting salt into chlorine you are not eliminating a chlorine issue by switching to a salt water generator.

Salt water generators may also seem cheaper in the long run to most people because they see that will only need to purchase salt for there new system. But there is a hidden truth to this. Salt is corrosive and many types and styles of pools are not even made for use with a salt water generator. The people who own a pool type with certain types of rock do not learn this until the damage is done.

Salt eventually erodes metal parts around a pool. Diving boards, metal fixtures, railings, all will show signs of eroding over time requiring the pool owner to replace these parts of their pools. These parts can be costly to replace. The pool water itself does not have an issue with corrosion as the water itself is not corrosive. The salt inside the water getting on certain area is what the problem is. Many companies dealing with salt water generators tell you that you will need to rinse around your pool to remove the salt that is lying on the flagstone, rocks etc. This is not only timely, but costly with the waste of water used to rinse your pool each time the salt water comes into contact with the items surrounding your pool.

It has also been noted that pools that have a salt water generator can tend to break down parts of flagstone, one of the biggest flagstone's used around pools is Oklahoma flagstone. The salt water dries on the flagstone then starts to actually flake apart pieces of the flagstone. Most people with thing flagstone will end up with a pool that looks dirty at all times even after it has been cleaned. It makes it look like you have sediment lying at the bottom of your pool when these pieces of flagstone start to flake off. Your now costly pool looks like it was poorly made due to the erosion and flaking of a salt water generator.

But salt damage does not end there. It can cause damage to limestone and masonry also. It also stains. Over time salt causes damage. Anyone living near an ocean can attest to the damage salt causes over time.

Should You Buy a Champion Generator?

When they spot the price difference of the Champion Generator versus a Honda Generator, for essentially the same wattage, they usually go, hmmm? The next question out of their mouth is, "Should I buy a Champion Generator?" Here is the answer to the question. I actually had to examine a number of variables before saying yeah or nay.

Who makes Champion Generators? This answer came directly from one of the VPs. Champion Power Equipment was founded in 2003. We are a US owned and operated company with our own manufacturing facilities in the Zehjiang province of China. We stand head and shoulders above our competitors by our commitment to quality throughout the engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing and customer service processes.

Here's some other important information my team and I found out about the Champion Generator Line. Champion Generators has never had a recall. That says a lot because as you know, the generator business is fiercely competitive. Manufacturers are on tight deadlines to beat competitors to the punch with new models with the latest technological advances. Sadly, some companies release equipment prematurely. That is, they haven't completed thorough (QC) Quality Control tests and/or Safety checks. Consequently, they end up having to recall, repair or refit thousands of units. Therefore, we are happy to announce that the Champion Generator Line has no recalls. That means they are doing something right!

The Champion Generator Customer Support is great! When our research team went back and pulled out the reviews we received from people who bought Champion Generators, we were kind of shocked. Why? First, we didn't realize that we had received so many. They somehow slipped under our radar?

And, secondly, because almost everyone that had an issue and called the Champion Generator toll free tech support line had nothing but great things to say about the experience. Just to confirm, I had Mr. Lynch, one of my "Top Gun" generator evaluators, call their toll free tech support line and G-R-I-L-L one of their customer service reps. Their technician handled the questions like a pro and that's saying a lot because Mr. Lynch pushes a few of my buttons every now and again.

So the question begs, "Should You Buy a Champion Generator?" Based on the numerous reviews that we receive and have researched, after you purchase a Champion generator, you'll get a good product. If you ever have any problems, the folks at Champion Generators stand behind their generators and they won't leave you hanging. If you need to call their tech support line, you'll reach a human being who speaks English and knows what the heck they're talking about.

Creating Your Own Wind Turbine Generator - How Hard Can it Be, and to What Cost? Is it Worth It?

If you are thinking of harnessing nature's energy and converting them to electricity, there are two popular choices in the industry. They are solar power and wind energy. Creating a wind turbine generator to produce electricity for your home can eliminate or reduce your energy bill.

The investment that you will put in to building a wind turbine generator can pay off in as short as a year or less because of the savings you will have on your current electricity bill. The aim of this article is to give you an overview of how to make your own wind generator.

This technology has been in use for generations; a good example of this are the windmills found in the Netherlands. Because of the oil shortage that hit the United States during the 1970's, the FWEP or Federal Wind Energy Program researched and developed new designs and technology to create 13 small wind machines.

One of the types they developed was the hybrid type which is very cheap to produce. With the new technology today and cheap materials, anyone can build a wind turbine generator for as low as $150.

If you are thinking of building your own wind turbine generator you can look for designs and plans that can cut the cost to about $90.

You can learn the basics of creating each part through different sources online and save money but the details of creating a dependable wind turbine generator would come from a reliable source that would give your exclusive instructions on how to plan and build your own wind turbine generator without any hassle.

The good thing about creating a wind turbine generator is that the parts can come from recycled materials. They are inexpensive and if you want to go this route, these plans will tell you where to locate the things that you need. The steps will also tell you where to go to and what you need to be able to get the materials to build your project.

Creating a wind turbine generator is not that complicated; this is if you have a solid plan at hand. The internet can provide you with a huge number of sources but most often than not they will be too complicated for beginners or for those without experience in the field of creating machines.

Some people think that complicated steps and diagrams are better but in reality people tend to get confused and frustrated if they are unable to follow it. The rule of thumb in creating your own wind turbine generator is simplicity; if the steps are simple then it is better.

Make a Wind Generator

To make a wind generator, and generate your own electricity, is easier than you might think. This is just as well, because electricity costs are not likely to come down any time soon. In addition to the cost savings, you may also want to "do your bit" for the environment. Wind power is one of the most renewable power sources known to man, so it really makes sense on all levels to get involved. You can BUY wind generators of course, but they are still relatively expensive. If you have some basic DIY skills, you can build one yourself. So what's involved?

Making your wind turbine

This is probably the most difficult part of the process, because of the shaping of the turbine blades, and the cowl. Any mistakes here will lead to huge losses in efficiency, because your turbine will be working against the wind, rather than with it. In addition to this, any inefficiencies in the drive mechanism which transfers the energy from the blades to the dynamo will reduce the amount of electricity you make.

Building the tower

This is a less complex part of the process, but you have to remember that if the tower is not sturdy enough, then it will sway around in the wind, and of course, this is yet more wasted energy. You see, there's a pattern forming here - it's all about keeping all the wind energy, not letting it be wasted on unwanted movement, or badly constructed mechanics. Where you site your tower is also important, and it's not necessarily at the highest point available.

Storing the power in batteries

The very nature of wind generated power is that it isn't a constant supply. When there's a lot of wind, you will need to store the electricity somewhere, and this is where a well-designed battery system is essential. Make sure you use the right batteries too. Car batteries are no good, because they are designed to provide a short burst of high power to start your engine. You should use Deep Cycle Batteries, which are designed to be run down slowly over a longer period of time.

Connecting to the main power supply

This is where safety is paramount! This isn't the most difficult part of the process, but it's the one where you really do need the specialist knowledge. A mistake here could be fatal. Also, check your local power company's regulations about connecting into your home supply. you may need to get one of their engineers to do the work. Also, if you ever generate more electricity than you need, you may be able to sell it back to the power company, and have this taken off your bill when your demand is high.

Generator Transfer Switch - Do You Really Need One?

It is always a good idea to have a professionally installed transfer switch connect your portable generator to your household control box. Nevertheless, most conscientious homeowners can safely use this source of backup power if they will confine its use to smaller essential home appliances.

When the electricity goes out, the first thing to do is provide enough light within your living environment so that you and your family can move about safely. Depending on the length of the blackout, you always must be sensitive to the potential spoilage of the food in your refrigerator.

Keep in mind that you can rotate power to the various appliances. In other words, you can keep the frig going for a couple hours and then switch your power outlet to other devices like the television or computer.

An average household can usually get by adequately with 5500 watts of power. However, smaller portables such as 1000 watts units can be used for such things as microwaves, toasters and other electrical cooking devices.

Remember to always check with a professional electrician about the need to install a transfer switch. This is especially true if you have appliances that create power surges as a result of their startup operation. Or, perhaps you have high wattage requirements from such things as heat pumps, central air conditioning or deep well water pumps.

A transfer switch provides a safe method to hook up your generator with selected circuits that you identify inside your home. When professionally installed next to your breaker box, it will help to prevent any power from accidentally becoming live and dangerous outside your home where workers might be servicing the utility lines.

Manual transfer switches connect power with either individual breakers or with a large master unit. The automatic transfer switch is a digitally controlled system which is programmed to be fully automatic. It permits you to set individual circuits by preference ahead of time.

In summary, do not assume that because a generator is portable it does not require the safety net provided by a professionally installed transfer switch. While it is certainly possible to operate your small unit safely, it is always better to seek the advice of a professional electrician before taking unnecessary chances.

And, finally, never operate your generator in an enclosed environment where others may be present. Generator exhaust fumes contain poisonous carbon monoxide gas that can be lethal.

Make a Windmill Generator

When you make a windmill generator, the thing you want to do is get enough power off your windmill in a single year that it paid for itself. This can be easily done with some of the new and updated DIY windmill guides.

The newly designed windmill was developed about 30 years ago by the The United States government. The government ran many test on different windmill's and studied them for years, finally and ultra efficient windmill was made. And the most shocking thing is that it can be made for under 200 dollars of parts!

If you really want to spend a limited amount of money on getting a windmill the ideal thing to do would be to make one yourself. Most people tell themselves that they could never accomplish this, but actually EVERY ONE CAN. There are now step-by-step guides on building extremely efficient windmill's in under 6 hours and for under 200 dollars.

The perfect windmill guide will tell you exactly what parts you will need, where you can pick-up the parts, and how much should be spent on each individual part. A good DIY guide will allow you to build a windmill in 1 day with no confusion.

Over 50,000 windmill guide's have already been sold. People are already starting to save huge amounts of money on there electricity bills each month. Another great benefit about windmill guides is that they encourage your neighbor's to get into wind energy. By the end of the year I would think that half of your neighbor's will have a windmill also.

Hydrogen Generator DIY - Hydrogen Generators For Cars

Everyday a barrel of gas hits another record high causing the price of gas to skyrocket. Hydrogen Generator DIY kit cuts gas cost by 40% and increases mileage.

Economists predict a gallon of gas to only increase as global demand raises. At some point one has to take action and search for alternate fuel or methods such as hydrogen generator for cars to alleviate the monthly cost to commute.

That is exactly what my wife and I did. We did our research online and ran across a Hydrogen Generator DIY website that provided step-by-step plans how to build your own hydrogen generator using materials found at your local hardware store.

Between my wife's SUV and my car we were spending around $600 a month and knew we had to do something so we took the dive and purchased the DIY guide.

For under $125.00 including the guide we were able to build our first hydrogen generator. The water for gas guide was very detailed which made building and installation a breeze. I am not good with cars so I was worried but everything was very well laid out.

We decided to install the unit on my wife's gas guzzler SUV due to only getting around 16 Mpg. Over the next week we tracked our mileage and fuel consumption and were shocked to see her average mileage jumped from 16 Mpg to 24 Mpg in the city and from 24 Mpg to 31 Mpg on the highway...wooohooo!!!

Who would have thought that ordinary water can give you better gas mileage...actually the hydrogen generator kit uses water to produce HHO or Brown Gas that increases the efficiency at which the fuel burns thus increasing your mileage.

Gasoline and diesel engines today waste gas due to not fully burning all the fuel during the combustion process. Adding water molecules to the mix creates a more efficient combustion allowing your engine to burn more fuel producing more power. The end result is your car or truck produces more power with less fuel consumption.

Enough of the technical jargon...all I know is it works but I do not recommend building a hydrogen generator on your own without any guidance from a manual as you could do more harm rather then good.

There are a hand full of websites online that provide good documentation how to construct a hydrogen generator for your car or truck at a very affordable price that will pay for itself in no time.

Thousands of people have converted their cars and trucks to use water for gas and are achieving amazing results.

Not only are they getting better gas mileage but also running smoother, burning cleaner and helping to extend the life of their engine. The days of a gallon of gas below $3.00 is behind us and prices are only expected to go up so what are you going to do about it?

Making a Homemade Wind Power Generator For Home Energy

Making a homemade wind power generator for home energy is the easiest and fastest way to lower electricity costs - and help the environment.

Wind powered generators are easily made up using low cost materials found at your local hardware store for about $150 - $200, and with little or no technical knowledge required. Putting your system together should only take a couple of days of work. Making sure you have the right parts is necessary. Without the proper equipment you may have an inefficient wind turbine.

I highly recommend getting a detailed manual on the whole procedure. As this will make the entire task much easier for you and you'll know exactly what to do and what you'll need. Some of the manuals out there are complete garbage however so be careful. You'll want a manual thats attractively illustrated and goes through a step-by-step what to do process.

Some of the parts needed for a homemade wind power generator

DC motor used to power your wind generator
No special tools are needed just a jigsaw and your everyday wrenches
A fairly good size garage or shed
PVC pipe for the blades
A pole that is at least 30 feet high (old TV antenna works best)
Good used batteries (a good guide will show you where to get these for free)

Once you are finished putting together your wind power generator, and your have it installed, according to the guide it will generate enough power to power a TV, DVD player, computer and lights for a small shop.

Isn't it time you got started on your own installation project? Just think, no more electricity bills, just Mother Natures Clean Renewable Energy. Learn to make your own Wind Power Generator with simple and easy to read plans.

Build Your Own Homemade Hydrogen Generator

Thanks to the genius of Bulgarian Dr. Yule Brown, a heavy water physicist, the world is privy to the truth about hydrogen technology. Although still difficult to believe, water can be used to power vehicles without reliance on a costly infrastructure, by simply accessing "homemade hydrogen generators" on the Internet.

What to Expect

What should you expect if you buy a hydrogen generator for your car? All-inclusive parts, instruction, diagrams and website support are generally the auto parts store model for the definition of kits. But, this inclusive "kit model" may not be the norm for hydrogen technology industry, so buyers beware.

The parts for making a homemade hydrogen generator for your car are simple. To build one, the following basic components are required: electrical wiring, an automotive fuse, some baking soda, a sealed quart-size container and accompanying vacuum hose. Sound complicated?

According to the top eleven publishers of homemade hydrogen generator guide books, describing the process of separating hydrogen and oxygen from water will take longer than building the generator!

And the plans/guides advertised don't actually include the parts (which you can easily purchase from any local hardware store), but contain the directions with varying quality of diagrams and/or technical jargon. Look for a guide that also contains the forms for the $2000 tax credit which you're eligible to claim each year, simply for using "green technology". Some websites offer reviews of the guides. Some are downloadable, some with updates for life, some with additional instruction on linking kits together to run a large truck.

What You'll Spend

Assuming you're smart enough to avoid the temptation of using those free (and ineffective) plans floating around online, the price of professional guidebooks to build your own hydrogen gas saver ranges between $49 and $100. The materials may cost from $50 to $100 depending on the level of technology desired. All in all, this is an extremely wise investment, if you consider the thousands of dollars you'll save each year on gas expenses.

The technology behind the homemade hydrogen generator is here today. Something imagined in science fiction has come to pass and is as easy as reading an inexpensive guide and a trip to the store. More fuel efficiency and clean emissions are here for those intrepid tinkers who don't want to rely on foreign oil. The future is here; Google it!

Portable Generator Must Haves - If You Buy a Generator Without These Features You'll Be Sorry

Feature #1: Electric Start

This feature enables a generator to be easily started without having to pull a starter rope.

Feature #2: Low Oil Shutdown

I would classify this feature as MANDATORY on any portable generator. It shuts the engine down if the oil level drops below a safe operating level.

Feature #3: Idle Control

Automatically throttles down engine when no power is being drawn from alternator. This feature saves fuel, cuts down on noise and reduces engine wear.

Feature #4: Hour Meter

This feature helps with maintenance by keeping a record of how long engine has run. Now you can automatically schedule oil changes.

Feature #5: Large Fuel Tank

If your generator is used for providing backup power during power outages, get a fuel tank with a capacity of five gallons or more. These units can run on average, seven to ten hours before refueling.

Feature #6: Ball Bearing Alternator

This simply amounts to a cheap generator versus a quality generator. The alternators with the ball bearing costs more than the ones with the needle bearings but they last longer.

Feature #7: Brushless Alternator Design

This feature boils down to common sense and pure economics; brushless alternators require less maintenance and produce cleaner power, which is more suitable for today's sensitive electronic equipment. Brush-type generators have brushes that are wear items, requiring replacement.

Feature #8: All-Metal Alternator

How many times have we seen portable generators go clunk because of cheap manufacturing? More than you ever want to know! Stay away from generators that have alternators with plastic housing because they are known to warp over time and cause moving parts within the alternator to come out of alignment, wear excessively and eventually break. Get an all-metal alternator.

Feature #9: Cast Iron Sleeve

If you expect to utilize your generator often or for long periods of time, this feature is absolutely crucial! Hidden in the cylinder of some engines is a cast iron sleeve liner that reduces wear, which makes the engine last longer, which saves you money. The added cost of a generator with a cast iron sleeve in the engine is small and well worth it.

Feature #10: OHV (Overhead Valve) Engine

This technology is suited for portable generators because it produces fewer emissions than side-valve (pushrod) engines, OHV engines start easier, run quieter, and they have proven to last longer.

Feature #11: Full Power Switch

This allows you to switch off the 240 Volt output to get more 120 Volt power from the generator. This feature is useful for starting 120 volt electric motors on air compressors and water pumps.

Feature #12: Portability Kit

Some generators, although portable, seem like they weigh a ton. With a portability kit, (wheels and handles specifically made for that generator) you can move the heavy units around with relative ease.

Feature #13: Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)

Total Harmonic Distortion is a means to measure the quality of the output electricity of a generator. Six percent THD is considered the upper limit for "clean" electricity. Go above 6% THD and the electricity will most likely reduce the life of electrical circuits, cause microprocessors to malfunction and cause furnace controllers to operate incorrectly. A good generator has less a THD of less than 6%. Be warned, some generators produce a THD greater than 15%. Make sure you know what your THD is before you buy.

Feature #13: Brand Name

For some items, brand names won't make that much of a difference, but when it comes to portable generators, brand names such as Honda, Briggs & Stratton, Cummins, etc., are worlds apart from the cheap generator knock offs. You'll save up front money when buying a cheap generator, but on the back end (terrible fuel efficiency, loud noise, breakdowns, high maintenance, etc,) they will cost you much more than a brand name when it's all told.

HHO Gas Generator Install Explained

All the buzz lately surrounding the use of HHO gas to supplement gasoline, coupled with ridiculous gas prices, has many people are wondering what all is involved in a HHO gas generator install. Since there are several different designs and plans available, this will be a very general overview just so you can see how easy your average HHO gas generator install is.

Most designs have the same general equipment which includes a reservoir for water, some type of electrolysis setup, some electrical wire, and tubing used to direct the HHO gas from the HHO gas generator into the engine. The reservoir used also varies from design to design, and really there is no particular reservoir that is set-in-stone with any of the designs. Many actually use something like a preserves jar for their HHO gas generator install.

The reservoir can be mounted using metal straps, brackets, or even zip ties. Regardless of which method you go with, make sure the bottom of the reservoir is being supported so you don't run into any issues. I made this mistake during my first HHO gas generator install and had to remount the unit after about a week.

After mounting the reservoir you'll want to run the tubing to the air intake hose. There are several ways to do that also and it will vary from design to design but this is a pretty easy part of the HHO gas generator install and usually just involves making a small hole in the stock or an aftermarket air intake. Keep in mind if you ever need to remove the HHO gas generator you can simply cover the hole.

All that is left now to finish up the HHO gas generator install is to wire up the electrolysis unit. This is also pretty easy, and you can run the wiring a couple ways. Some people wire it with a switch that is either under the hood or inside the vehicle, but my preferred method is to actually wire the unit to the ignition power so the unit comes on automatically anytime the engine is running. By doing so, you'll constantly have an ample amount of HHO gas at any given time and if you're forgetful like me you won't have to worry about forgetting to flip it on.

Hydrogen Fuel Generators and Free HHO Dry Cell Plans

If you have decided to experiment with hydrogen fuel and would like to build a fuel saver Hydrogen Generator, I would suggest the HHO Dry Cell design. The old water4gas HHO generator design was discarded by the pros long ago, and the hydrogen generators known as wet cells are inferior to the new HHO dry cell design.

Here are a few reasons why the new "HHO dry cell" kits are better than the old water4gas and wet cell designs.

The old wet cell designs had a large amount of voltage leakage around the edges of the stainless plates. What this means is that part of the supplied current was not reaching the plates where the electrolysis process takes place, so you had to deliver more voltage in order to produce the desired amount of HHO gas. You do not have this current loss on an HHO dry design. With the new HHO dry cell design, the electrical current is focused on the dry cell plates, this is how the dry cell produces more hydrogen fuel with the use of fewer amps.

The HHO drycell is usually configured with four or five neutral plates, encased in several negative and positive stainless plates. The purpose of the neutral plate is to help lower the voltage between the positive and negative plates which will make this cell run much more efficiently. This design produces less heat and will form more HHO gas than the old water4gas and wet cell hydrogen generators, using fewer amps.

Another great improvement made with the HHO cell is the size of the unit. You can build an HHO dry-cell that is only 4" x 4" that will produce as much HHO gas as an old 6" x 12" wet cell. Because of this great improvement in design, the dry-cell-kit can be installed in an area with less available space.

If you are ready to build an HHO generator, don't even think about buying HHO plans, you can get free plans for dry and wet cells all over the Internet. I have been supplying DIY HHO plans for free, for several years. Stop by HHO Dry Cell and grab a set of these free HHO plans today.

Learn How to Make a Hydrogen Generator For Your Car

I have been hearing people talking about installing hydrogen generator for their cars. They say that by doing this, it not only saves them a lot of money, but also increase their car mileage.

On hearing all these, I decided to give it a try as times are hard and the price of gas are on the increase, burning a hole in my pocket. So, I started to search online for the best online car kit that I can get. Of course, with the help of my friend who had his car converted to what is known as HHO gas car.

Finally, as what my friend suggest too, I chose a most basic model and ordered the parts online as I am a green horn in this hands-on thing. Though this hydrogen generator that I am going to build may not be as good and save as much money as the one my friend had, it still will help cut down my gas cost.

So how does the hydrogen generator work? Simply through a process called electrolysis using the rule of separating hydrogen and oxygen from water to create a gas called HHO gas or Brown's gas. This gas is then mixed with gasoline in the engine. This not only increases fuel efficiency but also lets you have a long lasting engine life.

Finally, I built my very own hydrogen generator and I managed to save quite some money. At the same time, my fuel mileage also increases by so much than before too. To all the green horns or first timers like me, I suggest u get a basic model too before you choose a more complicated model the next time.

Lastly, I recommend all of you to get a hydrogen generator installed too, you would not regret it. It really saves you so much more money, reduce air pollution and increase fuel efficiency.
